Pin Pile Technical Specifications

There are times when back filling with GeoFoam rather than standard back fill material is both benefcial and cost effective. We have used this material many times behind pin pile walls.

GEOFOAM SPECS:
The Geofoam we use is molded expanded polystyrene, a closed cellular plastic made from petroleum derived from crude oil. It is manufactured by INSULFOAM, located in the Dalles, OR. It is available with densities ranging from 1.0-2.5 pounds per cubic foot. In general, we use Type I, which is rated at 1 pound per cubic foot. The standard block is molded in widths of 2’ to 4’ and lengths of 8’ to 24’, with any thickness available up to 33”.

       No CFC's
       UL, FM Code listed
       Low water absorption
       Non corrosive, Non friable
       Environmentally safe and inert
